Using Saffron the right way!

Bell Saffron is ideal for adding flavor to many of your daily cuisines. It is simple and easy to use saffron on a daily basis. A proper methodology of using this Kashmiri Mongra Saffron should be followed to obtain the best color, flavor, and nutrients ("tattvas") from these threads.



Preparing saffron:

  • The process of crushing and soaking the saffron threads releases the maximum amount of color, flavor, and aroma, and therefore it is highly recommended.

  • Take the saffron threads you intent to use for your recipe and crush them into a fine powder using a mortar and pestle.

  • Steep the saffron powder in a small cup of warm water or milk for 15 to 20 minutes. If your recipe is liquid-based, pour the liquid into a small cup and soak the saffron directly in this solution to get a concentrated saffron solution.

  • If you do not have a mortar and pestle you can soak the saffron threads without crushing them.

  • Add this concentrated saffron solution as an active ingredient to your recipes and enjoy the pleasant saffronic flavor the right way!
